In an exciting turn of events, popular radio host Alexander Armstrong is embarking on a new charity challenge, this time with a twist. The challenge, part of the charity partnership between our website and Global's Make Some Noise Day, is supported by Viking.

Last year, Alexander received five Golden Envelopes from Viking, each containing a challenge for his Musical Voyage. This year, the Golden Envelopes have mysteriously disappeared, and Aled Jones has been sent to find them. Aled isn't privy to the answers this time, only the clues.

The challenge, which runs throughout the week, sees Alexander playing along and putting his knowledge to the test. Each day, Aled presents a rhyming clue for the quiz at 10.30am. At the end of the week, listeners guess the link between all five answers on Alexander's Friday programme.

One of the challenges from last year involved Alexander learning to play a piano duet with a star composer. Another saw him waltzing with a professional dancer, and making his conducting debut was yet another. This year, the challenges remain a mystery, adding to the excitement.

The charity challenge aims to raise money for our website's official charity, Global's Make Some Noise, which helps change lives across the UK. If Aled gets all the answers right, Viking will donate £25,000 to Global's Make Some Noise.

The Golden Wrappings for Alexander Armstrong this year were hidden by his fellow contestants, most likely stashed in a secret compartment in the show's set. Aled Jones is currently exploring on a Viking ocean ship to find them.

The new charity challenge was launched on October 4, 2024, and we invite you to tune in to Alexander's radio show to follow his journey and participate in the quiz. Let's join together to support a worthy cause and have some fun along the way!
